negative numbers!!
Negative numbers are going to be strange to you. The negative numbers are located in a number line from zero to the left. In this post I am going to teach you how to add, subtract, multiply and divide negative numbers.
To add negative numbers you need to, forget the signs so how forget the negative sign and just add normally. For example if I add -5 + -3 = -8 so you can observe that in the answer I put a negative sign because a negative + negative = negative.
Now we are going to subtract negative – negative. It is confusing to write it that way so we decide to change the – sign and convert the second number to positive.
Example first: -4 - -5
Example second: -4 + +5
It is much easier to subtract when you change it to addition.
To multiply negative X negative we are going to forget the sings. Then the answer will always be positive so you multiply normally and at last you put the positive sign that is + and that would be your answers.
To divide negative / negative you need to forget the signs . Then you divide normally and the answer will always be positive so you put a + sign (positive sign).

Positive!!!
Positive numbers are the ones you have seen all through out our life. They are located in a number line from 0 to the right. I am going to show you how you can add, subtract, multiply and divide positive numbers.
To add positive numbers you just need to add like you had always donned.
For example: 5 + 2 = 7 you sum the second number to the first and you find you answer. When you subtract positive numbers you first see the numbers that is al the begging. For example: 5 – 2 = 3 you subtract 2 from 5 and you get the answer.
To multiply positive numbers you have to do the same process you learned. For example: 5 X 2 = 10. I just multiplied the 5 times 2.
To divide positive numbers you have to divide the second number to the first. For example: 6 / 3 = 2. You can see that I just saw how many 3 entered en 6 and that was the answer.

Brief Positive and Negative Numbers
Positive:
Positive numbers are the ones that you had seen all throughout your life. They are called positive because they are above 0; they are all at the right of 0. The positive sign is +.
Negative:
Negative numbers are the numbers that are less than 0. They always go before 0. The negative sign in -. Its value is abstract because it is something you can’t have.

Introduction!!!!
My name is Rafaela Iturralde and in my computer class I have been assigned a project to pretend being a teacher. I am going to work one day for Colegio Menor San Francisco de Quito. They had requested me to go there and give a 60 minute class to a 6Th grade parallel. Its going to be a brief lesson of positive and negative numbers for kids to understand and have an idea of what they are learning the next year.
My role in the class I'm going to teach, is being the teacher and helping them to know something about positive and negative numbers, one of the things they are going to learn in seventh grade. They are going to learn how are the graphs when you use negative numbers. Also I'm going to teach them how to add, subtract, multiply and divide. With this class the sixth graders in Colegio Menor are going to have in their minds about positive and negative.

I will be using this blog to explain what I am going to teach students with new entries of things I am going to teach. I am also going to do an excel project with a quadrant and how to understand it. The last thing I am going to create is a power point and students can see and learn from it. Hope you enjoy it!!!!
